Project

This project involves the restoration of the historic Windsor Locks Train Station, built in 1875 and located on Main Street. The town’s goal is to reopen the long-vacant train station building and convert it into a multi-purpose facility including a welcome center, a public meeting space, and a museum that interprets its history. The rehabilitation project will be completed in a series of phases, include restoration of the masonry exterior, a new roof, new building systems, and a complete interior renovation, following LEED Silver certification standards. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
