The Windward

Located near Seaside Park in Bridgeport’s south end, the Windward Apartments replace Marina Village, an early public housing project that was already showing its age when it was adversely affected by superstorms Sandy and Irene. With high-performance housing, a 10,000-square-foot medical clinic, a park, and a recreation area, as well as strategies that respond to extreme weather events, the project is designed for long-term health and well-being. 54 housing units have been built and several hundred more are currently on the boards.
