Crosskey Architects designed a new 11 story building for Hartford Hospital that incorporates the façade of a historic building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The building, which will provide clinical medical offices for the hospital, will feature a three-story lobby behind the façade of the corner building, along with tenant and restaurant space. The design of the upper floors is inspired by elements of the historic building. The setback and the neutral colors, along with the contrasting upper two floors, help to visually diminish the mass and height of the new building.
