- Historic Preservation Multifamily Housing
- 51 Units
- Completed - 2000
Project
This project involved the renovation of residential buildings located throughout the Frog Hollow section of Hartford. All the buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, varying in vintage and in style. The buildings were renovated to retain their historical character, while improving their layouts to meet current housing and life safety standards. The work included interior renovations with new fire stair enclosures and tenant separations, updated mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems, fire detection, and emergency lighting. The masonry buildings were cleaned and repaired, and all historical features were restored. The goal of the project was to improve the existing dwelling units to meet today’s standards, while retaining the historic building fabric of Frog Hollow.
