This summer, we will be relocating our office to the mezzanine floor of the Hartford-Connecticut Trust Building located at 750 Main Street. In 1921, the Hartford-Connecticut Trust Company engaged architects Morris & O’Connor of New York to design and build the 17-story, brick-and-limestone structure in the Neo-Classical Revival style. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Main Street Historic District and is the oldest high-rise commercial building in Downtown Hartford.
We will occupy the space surrounded by impressive two-story arched windows, which provide plenty of natural light and afford beautiful views of the city and the Old State House. Our interior design team has worked diligently on design plans for the fit-out (retrofit) in order to create a collaborative work environment. By operating within the existing structure and highlighting the numerous architectural features, we have been able to preserve and reuse this amazing historic space. We are very excited to bring life back into an area that has been vacant for several years.
Upon arrival to the office, you will be greeted in the striking modern reception area. Just beyond, private offices, open workstations, informal meeting areas, and conference rooms foster creativity, productivity and collaboration. Service space, such as printing stations, a kitchenette, and storage rooms complete the layout. The inspiration for the interior finishes and color selection are the Crosskey colors as seen on our new website.
